My wife, Michelle, and I are trying to have a baby. That is of note because we had emphatically decided not to do that. We changed our minds, obviously, and in retrospect, the vasectomy seems a little rash.
I am not sure that I can adequately explain myself. I feel as confident about our new plan as I did about the old one. It may not make sense, but not everything that makes you happy does, so there you go.
Initially we kept it a secret but we have changed our minds about that too. News of success, if there is any, may be some time off, and who wants to wait. We began to slowly leak our plans and now Michelle is letting me tell everyone. I hope you come back and help us cheer for a happy ending.

Good Luck with your decision. I always thought you’d be a fun Dad. I’m guessing lots of Oreo ice cream will be involved. Here is something to think about…you are trying to have a baby and my baby (now 25) whom you used to babysit is getting married in less than a month.
I wish I told Barry when I saw you guys with our boys what I was thinking. . .I’ve known for a long time you would be great parents. Sending you both good thoughts.

I just want to say that on the “kids rock” vs. “kids suck” debate I am now the undisputed winner. The good news for you is that since kids rock this new parenting thing should be fun.
Think its great and I truly believe you will be awesome parents. best luck to you both, our prayers will be with you. we are also going for it end of year and are very excited. I have done soo much in my life and think that giving birth to a little life would be the ultimate adventure x imagine a little muscle mini us wow!
I totally am cheering for you… though having just typed that, sounds a little well.. like I’d be there cheering.. not so.. Anyways happy thoughts for a good result though. I also think that you might soon reevaluate how important the family parking stalls are to those bucket totting sleep deprived people
Good luck we wish you guys a quick success.
You underestimate how pig headed I am if you think I will change my mind about family parking. Thanks for all the positive wishes.
[...] Then I decided I wanted to have children. Which I can’t adequately account for, but that’s what happened. A friend recently asked me about my inexplicable change of heart. “Well,” I said, “no one has ever accused me of being indecisive.” In whichever direction I’m going, I’m running, like Forrest Gump.
