-We have too many kids in the world already. Human population is a major contributor to the stress we’re putting on the Earth. Adoption is always an option. Sure it’s not your ‘own’, but really, so what. kinda fits into your point that kids might not turn out like mom&dad anyways.

-Time and the rest of the world. For all the money and effort put into having kids, imagine if those efforts were put into projects that would improve more than a couple of people. While babies are wonderful life projects for some people and not to be diminished, for some, children can take away from other life projects that would contribute to society in different ways. I’m gonna put in time and effort to try to change the course of mess-ups that our parents and we keep making, instead of having kids and leaving that job to them. Pressure.
