Trilingual

Fluency in French is a requirement at the Royal Military College. I received daily instruction in the subject during the year I attended. I worked my way down until I reached the class at the bottom of the system, which you could politely say was for the linguistically challenged.

I love Spanish. No tedious classes soured my appreciation for its lyrical cadence. In Mexico I am enjoying learning the odd phrase. The locals are friendly and patient with me and after a few days I have the basics. When the waitress asked for my drink order today I said with confidence, “Vino blanco, s’il vout plait.”

Ah fuck. I’m mildly retarded in two languages.
